Meet our Staff
Rev. Teri ToddPastor
After a lifetime estranged from God, I’m now a willing prisoner of God’s relentless love. But I remember how hard it can be to believe God is real and to trust in God’s goodness. I’m here to share the journey, with all its dark detours and it’s sudden collisions with unexpected grace. I believe God feels our tears and shares our sorrows. I believe God has a profound tenderness for the lost and lonely. I believe our love, laughter, hope and joy are among the highest forms of worship. And I’m quite certain “there’s something sacred in being able to be silly.” (Paul Pearsall)
Marcia StaffordOffice Manager
God has given me the opportunity to do His work as Office Manager at Elizabeth United Methodists and to be in service as I happily work together with Rev. Teri Todd. I have been blessed to be part of this church and enjoy meeting and welcoming all to come and experience His love with us as we pray, care, share, learn, grow, and laugh together. My husband and I have a small cattle ranch east of Elizabeth where we have a menagerie of animals. Miniature Herefords, 2 goats, 3 dogs, 5 cats and whatever critter may pass on by. We have one daughter who is a hair designer working and living in the Lone Tree Colorado area. I like to travel, especially to the ocean, knit (we have a group at church that does this), cook & eat many different kinds of food, and spend time with family and friends. God blesses us each day with new promises and hope. When you are in Elizabeth, stop by the church office and say “Hi”! I would love to meet you.
Doug WoodsMusic Director
I work as a professional civil engineer in a Quasi-governmental wastewater District. I like math and engineering, but love music. I am very fortunate and blessed to share music at EUMC. I began going to church prior to the age of five. Guitar lessons started when I was seven. I sang and played my first song at my Grandma’s church when I was nine. I was confirmed at the Ninth Avenue Methodists Church at the age of 14. I like many folks am just trying to continue to be a better person in the eyes of the Lord. The Elizabeth United Methodists Church helps me continue to improve. “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything” (Plato) and is my most efficient way to communicate with God. My wife and I have two kids in college, Trent and Alexis. We live north of Elizabeth with four horses, a dog, a cat and love living in the country. My many hobbies include hunting, fishing and building hot rods to name a few.
