Office ManagerGod has given me the opportunity to do His work as Office Manager at Elizabeth United Methodists and to be in service as I happily work together with our pastor. I have been blessed to be part of this church and enjoy meeting and welcoming all to come and experience His love with us as we pray, care, share, learn, grow, and laugh together. My husband and I recently moved to Parker after having lived on a small cattle ranch east of Elizabeth. We have one daughter who is a hair designer working and living in the Lone Tree Colorado area. I like to travel, especially to the ocean, knit (we have a group at church that does this), cook & eat many different kinds of food, and spend time with family and friends. God blesses us each day with new promises and hope. When you are in Elizabeth, stop by the church office and say “Hi”! I would love to meet you.

Music DirectorI recently retired from a job as a professional civil engineer in a Quasi-governmental wastewater District. I like math and engineering, but love music. I am very fortunate and blessed to share music at EUMC. I began going to church prior to the age of five. Guitar lessons started when I was seven. I sang and played my first song at my Grandma’s church when I was nine. I was confirmed at the Ninth Avenue Methodists Church at the age of 14. I like many folks am just trying to continue to be a better person in the eyes of the Lord. The Elizabeth United Methodists Church helps me continue to improve. “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything” (Plato) and is my most efficient way to communicate with God. My wife and I have two adult kids, Trent and Alexis, and one spoiled grand daughter! We live north of Elizabeth with four horses, a dog, a cat and love living in the country. My many hobbies include hunting, fishing and building hot rods to name a few.

Music DirectorI am so fortunate to be involved with the people and ministries of Elizabeth Methodist Church, God certainly led me to where I’m supposed to be. I am one of the piano accompanists here at the church and help with the choir too. We have some very good musicians to work with as we prepare music for our congregation and we enjoy our time together also. I am a retired schoolteacher, my husband and I moved here from Springer, New Mexico 10 years ago. We had an irrigated alfalfa farm, ran some cattle on a ranch near town, and were involved in the Methodist church in Springer. We enjoy traveling and gardening. We live with my daughter’s family and have two granddaughters who are active in 4-H, so our place is a regular McDonalds farm! There are three cattle, two horses, two goats, two sheep, laying hens, bantam chickens and dogs and cats, so we dont miss our ranch life! I believe our church has an important mission in this community, I’m glad to be part of this group.

PianistI am a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer, retiring 10 years ago. I spent most of my career as a Project Director for the implementation of primarily natural gas fired power plants. I have Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics. I’ve been playing music most of my life. I started piano lessons when I was 3 years old, but I didn’t play for almost 40 years after I graduated from high school until we bought a piano a few years ago. I started playing as the full-time pianist for our previous church in 2021. I also played clarinet in school including playing in the Texas Tech Red Raider Band and I’m now learning to play ukelele with the Merry Ukes at EUMC. I sing with the High Plains Singers and the EUMC choir. I love music and I love playing. Playing for our church is a blessing for which I am very grateful. A favorite scripture is from Psalm 95:1-2: “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” I have a lot of hobbies that I enjoy. I am a Colorado Master Gardener and a Native Plant Master through the CSU Extension Program because I’m passionate about gardening and environmental sustainability. I love crochet, needlepoint, cross stitch, latch hook, needle felting, and reading. I’m devoted to animal rescue and protection. We dearly love our six dogs, cats, llamas, alpacas, donkeys, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, turkeys, and koi. My husband and I moved here from Houston, TX 17 years ago. We live on a farm southeast of Elizabeth. We love it here. We are so grateful that we found EUMC and the wonderful, loving Christian community here.
